The global pandemic caused a global lockdown

A lockdown on our lives

But it couldn’t lockdown racism

The global pandemic of racism raged on

It continued to spread insidiously

To quench its thirst for divisiveness

Its fever running high

Infecting and pervading society

Breaching rules of physical lockdown

Penetrating and damaging our minds

An indictment on our society

That sadly shall still remain

Long after the COVID-19 pandemic
